Journey Through the Bible - Backpacking Through Scripture on a Shoestring Budget - is a survey or overview of the entire Bible. If you were to backpack through Europe on a shoestring budget, you wouldn't get to see all there is to see, but you'd make sure to see the main attractions. You'd see the Eiffel Tower, the Mona Lisa, the Sistene Chapel and the Piazza San Marco. Moses first said, "Man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of God" (Deut. 8:3b). We won't cover every single word in this study, but we will get a look at the big picture; the organization, the flow, the major themes, and we'll see how it all fits together. |
